My Illustration Friday entry for this week’s theme travel.
Travel back home Filipino style 
There are millions of Filipinos working as contract workers or living outside the Philippines away from family and relatives. Going back home, these boxes are full of gifts and presents.
Why not buy commercial luggages then? Luggages are kinda expensive so those money could buy a lot of stuff to fill in the boxes. Also, using these huge boxes, filipinos could haul up to the maximum limit allowed for their loved ones back home.

gorgeous…i’m in love with your style and colours. packing goodies into boxes seems very sensible to me, especially if you’re not cruising around anywhere, but just going from a to b.

Diong, just a suggestion and question here….. Have you tried to implement RSS feed on this java CMS?
Jolo: Yeah I know… RSS feed has been in my to do list for a long time (also cleaning up the url). I have the API’s already for it but haven’t switched back to coding mode yet… this site is due for an update again.
very neat explanation through your artwork. filipinos abroad are the usual thing with balikbayan boxes when arriving home.

I don’t envy this guy having to lug all those packages around. Love his face and the colors. The perspective gives it a somewhat surreal feeling. Very nice work.
