Pen and Ink Study

7″ x 10″ Pen and Ink on Paper Study

Continuing to experiment on different media. This one I used Pentel milky gel roller ballpens on black paper.

Updated: Submitted this for Illustration Friday’s theme Envy.

Envy is like a fly that passes all the body’s sounder parts, and dwells upon the sores. – Arthur Chapman

I guess this Illo could work…

Hmmm, Steve said “Frank Millerish” and I don’t know who that is – Oh, Google!!! Ahhh, yes, the comics artist. Yes, I see the connection immediately. Perhaps I’m getting old…both your drawings sure remind me of Max Beckman, the German expressionist. That’s good company to be in and I love both of your drawings!

Everyone have the heart to say, just expressed in different ways. I think, in that silence of the night, the night sky and the sky is what I wish the best time to declare the earth, therefore, could not wait to tell. You said to me: what is it? … … You told me: true and false is relative … … so the so due in one.
