update 6/17/2005: I submitted this for Illustration Friday’s theme Black and White, eventhough the subject is not quite “black and white”.
This looks great ! Most people shy away from dark imagery, I’m glad you didn’t. If this were a poster, I’d hang it on my wall and shine a black light on it.

i liked the way you have drawn the figure esp. the face! it’s true it can really be an excellent painting and poster to hang on the wall. the moon and the stars made me remember a carpet poster i have bought in the middle east. i also like the quotes from Victor Hugo.
