Road Ahead

12″ x 18″ Pastel on Paper

updated: Submitted this for illustration friday’s theme “Sport”. I was absolutely NOT thinking of “a sport” when I drew this. There’s a road, there’s a figure… ummm Marathon??? Ha! I always wanted to be able to run long distances, but unfortunately, I do not have strong enough lungs to do that.

Diong, be sure to notify me if you plan to exhibit your artworks alright. :D

About the submission, I’m planning to, thing is I’m too busy with work and I need a point of difference and strong concept for the submission. Long live pinoy!

I like the mix of loyalty, desperation, and other emotions you captured in this piece. I enjoy your art very much. It is colorful, and I feel drawn in by the facial expressions.

You can see the pink in his cheeks from running :) Great pastel work; there is a deepness in the figure’s expression that captures.

This is a great piece. I love how it captures the past (looking back) and the future (the road). It appears to be a lonely road, but who knows, perhaps he is leading hundreds after him. Trailblazers are like that… Your art evokes a lot of feelings and obviously moves us all to introspection…as good art should. Thanks.
