Summer Harvest

For Everyday Matters Drawing Group challenge #26 – Draw Something…(or a Vegetable)

I know tomatoes are fruits :-) but these so happen to be our first harvest this summer. Sounds like we have a farm but actually just two tomato plant in our front yard :-) . Kinda a house tradition to plant something during summer (like last year).

As for Everyday Matters, it is been good so far because it gives me a reason to draw from life.

These are very good, too. And I’d forgotten that tomatoes were fruit and not vegetable, and have already started my tomato drawing … darn it! Oh well, I’m sure we won’t be the only ones who do tomatoes! :-)

Nice illustration for the challenge! I always think of tomatoes as vegetables. Congrats on your harvest…we tried tomatoes on our balcony one year and something ate them.

Nice piece. I really like both the style, and the composition of the page. Hope they tasted as good as they look :-)

I stumbled across your blog while I was doing some online research. I always have one to three tomato plants each summer, usually in containers. It just wouldn’t seem like summer without them!
