Roots

My illustration friday entry for this week’s theme roots.

I totally agree with Charlie on his comment on drawing trees:

Trees always seem like such a simple thing to draw, until you try to draw one in some detail and then they suddenly become quite complicated!

    oh wow what a great sketch! well i confess my balete tree should be drawn by sketch too… but nonetheless here’s something pinoys would be proud of! Great work Diong!

    Trees really are hard to draw, but this one came out very well. I like the pespective you chose…it looks so majestic from the lower viewpoint. I also like the strong lines you used to create the shape and texture of the trunk and leaves in contrast to the lightly sketched trees in the background.

    Kewl, especially the perspective you chose. But I feel like u kinda overdid the roots. I dunno maybe its just me.. :/

    Excellent ill0 and I just love the perspective. And trees are very hard to draw,it’s a universe of lines.
