Draw your Foot

Pencil on sketchbook.

I joined the Everyday Matters Drawing Group today, this is for challenge #23 - "Draw Your Foot".

This is drawn in front of a mirror, drawing with my other hand; which is a bad idea because this pose hurts your back :-)

update(8-1-2005): Ulk, I just noticed how bad this drawing is... I'm really not good drawing from life. I should always remember what I wrote here.

Surfed over by way of the EDM group. This was done with your non-dominant hand? Wow. Great drawing! Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

No, this is really good. It has some kind of abstract-ish proportions, which make it very pleasing and reminds me of some great artist, but I can't exactly put my finger on just who I'm thinking of ... it is the curves and angles and light versus dark ... just can't think of who it is! Anyway, I really like it! And welcome to the EDM group!

Are you crazy!? I think that's a great sketch, especially given the composition and pose that you chose (altho I'm sorry it hurt your back to sit that way). Great job and welcome to the group.

Very nice composition. I agree with linda, it does have some abstract proportions, but very well executed with your non-dominant hand. I could never do that =]

Very interesting :)
I adore sketchbooks and find this drawing appealing, and am unable to explain why.
Wow.
Drawing is such a great tool to explore the universe, the perception, ourselves, the daily life and so on.
Have a nice day.
