(photocopy image transfer with acrylic and pastel)
She's my aunt. I took this picture when we went home to the Philippines last December 2005. I did this work when she passed away last year... I'm thankful I was able to meet and be with her again even for a brief time...

Wow.
Your works are so full of... stories (like Einstein on the beach, without needing to TELL any story in particular, as Robert Wilson reminds us is possible).
That said I wonder if you ever draw or considered drawing (or painting, or mixing, or collaging, etc) a graphic short story. I do some visual narration and find it is of great use and inspiration and stimulation for my drawing in general, it makes me look for interesting points of view, compositions, interpretations of reality all the time.
Could be an interesting experiment, seen you are very talented as far as comunication, points of view and composition are concerned.
Do you like Blankets by Craig Thompson (he too has a blog here - http://blog.dootdootgarden.com/ )? Maus by Art Spiegelman? City of glass by Paul Karasik, David Mazzucchelli and of course Paul Auster? The graphic novels by the italian narrator/painter/illustrator/etc Gipi ( http://www.bacidallaprovincia.com/anchequestoculodigommavibrante/anchequesto_f.html , http://www.bacidallaprovincia.com/fumetti.htm , http://www.bacidallaprovincia.com )? The works of Joann Sfar? And so on...
To understand the various declinations of the term graphic short story, you can check out this article http://www.drawanyway.com/2007/10/16/cartoons-the-observercape-winners-and-some-worthy-entrants/ on the very nice blog drawanyway (not so active recently) and especially the winner of the contest the article talks about which is
