Shooting empty park is turning to be my favorite activity during winter time. It was (relatively) warm 50°F (10°C) today. I dusted off my old and reliable Nikon F3 to practice shooting with film.
We will fly back to the Philippines tomorrow for vacation... Last time I went back home I was not really into photography; this time hopefully I will be able to shoot more pictures both in 35mm and digital. I expect to have access to the Internet during my stay there so I'm excited to blog half way around the world :-)
I wish everybody Happy Holidays!

Last thursday I went to the park and took some pictures. It was windy and bitter cold 24 deg F... I was the only one in the park...
Everything is dry in contrast to the set of pictures I took almost a month ago.

Though it is all writing code (drawing and painting are put on hold for now), I was able to spend the whole afternoon today taking pictures . I have an opportunity to use an awesome camera until December; it is not mine :-(
Here's the two sets of pictures at Flickr I took today:
What more can I say about the camera... I just love it. Classic look and feel of a traditional 35mm SLR camera with fully manual mode and convenience and power of a digital camera. It is a Leica.

I usually watch the Colt's game Sunday afternoon but since they are playing Monday Night Football this week, I decided to go to church.
Well "church" at least to me :-) I spent a couple of hours in Indianapolis Museum of Art today.
I like how the museum was redesigned (just reopened last May of this year). IMA is not as big as any other major museums but it has an awesome collection. I spent most of the time today viewing one gallery, and also as a ritual, looked closely and studied again one of my favorite piece in the museum.
It was a perfect autumn afternoon here in Indy and I took the opportunity to take some photos using my CoolPix 2100 with an awesome 2 megapixel of resolution :-)

Pictures from our weekend stay at Notre Dame and side trip to Indiana Dunes. You've probably seen Rudy, most of the scenes in that movie were shot in the campus.

I just found this picture buried in my archives taken at University of Notre Dame last year.

These shots were taken January 25, 2005 around 4:45-6:00 pm at Eagle Creek Park using Nikon F3 35mm camera. I initially intended to shoot snow scenes again but it was quickly getting dark. There was not enough light to shoot deep in the wooded areas. With the temperature around 40 deg F, there were several people inside the park but I was totally alone at the location that I was shooting. The most interesting subjects were the frozen reservoir and the silhouette of the trees against the sunset.

I was not able to go out this winter and shoot lots of pictures in a park or more scenic location. But I tried as much as I can inside or just outside of the house, here are few of them.
