I took the kids out to the park last Friday to shoot. Both were using cameras made around 1965, all manual, film cameras. Except for telling them the exposure combination to use, they were all on their own setting the aperture and speed manually, picking, composing and focusing the subjects to shoot.

The boys had their first lesson in photography. Introduction to their cameras (Pentax Spotmatics - all manual, film). I showed them how the lens opening and camera speed works and focusing. They are actually excited to shoot. :-)

Here are some test shots using the Argus Seventy-Five camera (manufactured from 1949 to 1953) handed over to me by relative during the holidays.
I did some research before I finally made it to work. The camera requires an obsolete 620 film, so I had to purchase 620 spools from Ebay. Then I had to re-spool the 120 film to the 620 spools. Except for the shutter getting stuck once in a while, the camera still works well.

I experimented also with the "Thru the Viewfinder" technique, basically using a digital camera to take a picture thru the viewfinder of another camera.
